Bridal Blossoms bloom for bounty
The next summoning event in Fire Emblem Heroes is coming later this week, and it looks like a rather lovely affair — if a little bit inconvenient for war. Though we suppose wearing a wedding dress into battle is a little bit iconic.
The Bridal Blossoms event kicks off on 20th May from 12am PDT / 5am EDT / 8am BST / 9am CET for a whole month, and will include four wedding-themed units — three brides and one groom (and his father, for some reason). It's similar to previous wedding-themed events that have come out over the years, and it will even come with a new paralogue.
All three of the brides with this update are from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, the sixth entry in the Fire Emblem series, and the one that stars our boy Roy. Here's a look at all four units and the skills that they can learn:
So, Eliwood is trying to marry his son off? There's a time and a place... Still, this looks like another fun Fire Emblem Heroes event to play through, and we can all appreciate the gorgeous brand new art with every new event.
You can watch the full trailer for the event below. Then drop by the comments and let us know if you still play Fire Emblem Heroes!
RPG lover first and Nintendo fan second, Alana is often found overthinking battle strategies, characters, and stories. Fortunately, she’s also easily pleased by anything Yoshi-related, creepy-but-cute Pokémon, and SEGA air pirates.
Insert people too good to play mobile games elitist comments below.
Literal waifu gacha game. (I actually enjoyed this game a lot for a while)
How much longer must be wait before we can walk that Genealogy of the Holy War remake down the aisle?
@KayFiOS : In the West, we call that skirt-chasing.
I played this game for about a year, and in that time spent enough money in-game to buy Fire Emblem Three Houses... 3x.
I forced myself to delete this game, and never looked back 💯
@SteamEngenius Say NO to Gambling, kids.
@mrMike Exactly why I stopped playing Mario Kart Tour. I had to have Halloween Rosalina, but once I got her I was like "...Well now what?"
Don't they have a wedding themed gacha every 2-3 months?
@SteamEngenius Thanks for the invite..
@SteamEngenius Lay out the red carpet why don't you, because that's essentially what comments like yours do.
Regarding topic.. Incidentally, these girls are all options for Roy's S rank pairing in his game.
So, Eliwood is trying to marry his son off?
So Catria (from Echoes) wanted to marry Thea (from The Binding Blade) last year?
I'm surprised we don't see more of these articles on new characters coming to the game to be honest. Seems quite random that the first time it happens in ages is for characters who are from a Japan exclusive game and in wedding outfits as well
Can't even be mad with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems; after Awakening they went all in on Waifu Emblem and have been making bank off the shippers and fans only interested in looking at cute jpegs. Cater to the new audience and all that.
Played Heroes at launch for a couple weeks, got bored almost immediately at how utterly simplistic a take it was on FE, but understandable for a F2P mobile version.
Game shouldn't be shunned for being mobile, but for being a pandering, gacha-riddled mess.
@Silly_G Just keep holding out hope that after the Three Hopes/inevitable DLC release cycle IS will announce the remake(s).
@HammerGalladeBro A father looking to 'Marry his son off' is looking for a suitable bride for him.
I enjoyed that game for about 6 months and kept plugging away at it for quite a bit longer… what a waste of time that was! Surprised it’s still going tbh but good for I.S.
I'm not sure why this is news, though? This is literally a yearly event.
Stuck with FEH until the subscription pass came out. People defend that it for being a good value and compare it to buying coffee or a burger...but I can't eat this game. So I give up trying to reason with people once they start trying to compare the price of a monthly pass to something completely different.
@nukatha oh, I see. I totally glossed over the "off". Thanks for the correction.
I've played this (almost quite) literally every day since launch, and have never spent a dime on it, and I have also never had to wait for a cooldown before I could keep playing ever. The game is extremely generous, and the amount of actually fun content is staggering, and it's free.
